How to Color Correct Phone Video in Premiere Pro in 5 Minutes

Phone video often looks a little flat, too blue, or washed out, even when the shot itself is great. You do not need a full color grade to fix it. This simple Premiere Pro routine takes about five minutes and makes phone footage look clean and natural.
Step 1: Open the Lumetri Color panel. Select your clip, go to Window, then Lumetri Color. Work in the Basic Correction section first. If Premiere offers an Auto button, click it once for a starting point, then adjust by eye. Auto is a draft, not the finish.
Step 2: Fix white balance first. If skin looks orange or blue, slide Temperature until whites look white. Use the eyedropper on something that should be neutral, like a white shirt or wall, if you have one in frame. Then nudge Tint only if you still see green or pink.
Step 3: Set exposure and contrast. Lower Exposure slightly if highlights are blown out, then raise Contrast a touch for punch. Keep skin tones in the middle, not bright white and not muddy gray. Check the Lumetri Scopes waveform and keep the brightest parts just below the top.
Step 4: Add a little life. Raise Saturation only a small amount, around 5 to 10 points, or use Vibrance if your version offers it, so colors pop without looking fake. Phone video saturates fast, so less is more.
Step 5: Copy the look to your other clips. Right-click the Lumetri effect, copy it, select the rest of your clips from the same shoot, and paste attributes. Then tweak each clip for 10 seconds, because light changes from shot to shot.
Takeaway: fix white balance, then exposure, then saturation, in that order, and copy the result across the shoot. Your phone footage will match, look professional, and stay fast to edit.
